Disney at Night

This year we discovered that Downtown Disney is always open to the public.  The restaurants are pricey, the stores are too, the movie theatre charges $6+ for seniors on Tuesdays and the street performers are great.  What a fun source of free entertainment.....we will do it again and often.

Solivita nursery

The nursery in Solivita in the spring is an unexpected pleasure.  You never know what you might see around the next corner. How many baby gators do you see?  3 or 4

Sandhill cranes are abundant, mate for life and have funny looking babies.

I had so much fun...

A friend recently cited an article about how important it is for us to tap into our creative side.  I believe that it is true because I get lost in the creativity when I am working with my hands.  This year I have explored glazes and have learned a lot.  I am a marginal potter, but I am having a great time!!

Eating our way through Florida

We made the rounds this year.......Sometimes I feel like we really do eat our way through life as we visit with friends and tour the state.  Food sustains us along with our friendships.

We had several dinners with Carol and Mike Hendrick and enjoyed hours of dominoes.

We enjoyed seafood at Dixie Crossroads in Titusville with Chuck and Karen Stevens, Happy Birthday to Karen.

We had lunch with Dan and Jeri Consla at Longhorn Steak House.

We worshiped at First Christian Church Deltona with Jeri Consla, Susanna Orensky and her family, traveled to Ocala for lunch and to see Riva Wallace @ Trilogy, then sped to Orlando to join Diane and Ron Ruhlman for the singing Christmas Tree at First Baptist Church of Orlando.

We worshiped at First Presbyterian Church of Brandon followed by lunch at the home of Gil and Marianne Evans along with the Herigs, the Evans-Nguyen family and the LeFevre family.  I felt like I had stepped back in time.(Hadn't seen some of these folks in too many years).

We traveled to St. Petersburg to visit with Sandy LaBram, went to a fabulous local art festival and enjoyed a brunch with Elisa Verch and her family.

We were visited by Linda and Ken Beckham, fed them well and enjoyed time at Bok Tower Gardens and Old Town.

We enjoyed lunch with Sandy Saunders and his friend Tom @ The Grill in Solivita.

We spent a day in Wesley Chapel where we helped Don and Joann Cundy do a little painting in
Caitlyn's new home followed by dinner.

We visited Phil and Doris Morrison (second cousin on my mother's side) had a wonderful Italian lunch and were gifted with an antique clock and a set of shelves, both old beautiful family pieces.

We were invited to Naples to see friends, Keith and Julie Wang who entertained us with a violin concert, dinner at Incan Peru and a visit to the Ford-Edison museum.

We entertained and fed Maureen Kramlinger, Char Morales and Tom McCree, reminiscing over the old days and things that are new.

We had lunch thanks to Darryl and Candy Stanford @ Boston's Fish House and then a visit to Lukas Nursery.

LIFE IS REALLY GOOD!!!!!

Friends and Family plan

I have loved this piece for years....after spotting it while shopping with a friend.  She bought one and I continued to think about it and keep an eye out for it.  But my dear friend found one and bought it for me after visiting and finding out about my secret wish.  Sandy LaBram, I love this lovely piece and love your friendship.

And then she gave me these beautiful vases. A little blue paint and my kitchen loves them.

My sweet friend Candy Stanford gave this to me and I am proud to display it at our front door.

And when it comes to family Phil Morrison is a prince.  As he and his wife Doris downsize he thought of me when it came to this beautiful family antique.  It takes its place in our kitchen and is exactly what I was looking for.  Love old family pieces.  I am so fortunate to have such generous people in my life!

Valentines Day

I am a bit late with this post and believe it or not, this is not to report an exceptional event. We went out for the day and had a lovely day together.  Sometimes just being together is special. What now still seems special are the roses that I got for Valentines this year.  They were absolutely stunning and still feel exceptional as I post this photo.
